There was a GOOGLE AD in one of my profiles Szell-7. WHY??????

I was looking over my email from Wikitree's Watchlist edits. I looked down to 20 March 2024 16:38 Lindy Jones edited the bio for George Endre Szell (1897-1970). Test update adjusted template parameters add category for 1 parameter.  I was wondering what that was. So I click and it took my to his page. I scrolled down and I SAW A GOOGLE AD. WHY????

Hi Anne. Are you sure you were logged in to WikiTree? Members do not see advertisements on profiles while they are logged in (though they may sometimes see them on other kinds of page). However, non-members and members while not logged in do see ads.

Maybe u r right. I wasn't log in to Wikitree. I went straight from my email to the profile. It was just strange seeing a google ad.
