Is anyone else getting this error message when they try to access Research on a profile?

Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from apps.wikitree.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

apps.wikitree.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to apps.wikitree.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be apps.wikitree.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit apps.wikitree.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

A workaround would be to use Wikitree Sourcer to search

Hi Rob, How do I do that when I am in a profile working on biography with inline sourcing, etc.?
If you have the Sourcer extension installed, and you are on a WikiTree profile in either read mode or edit mode, click on the Sourcer icon ( [1] ) and use one of the Search options to search FamilySearch, Ancestry, etc.

Sourcer doesn't cover the exact same set of sites that RootsSearch does but it supports 24 sites.
And we're good again
Yes I am still using WikiSearch for sources and it is working for Ancestry, Family Search and Find-A-Grave. So I will be patient for the remainder of the apps.

Also on Firefox:

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to apps.wikitree.com because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it?

apps.wikitree.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using antivirus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Firefox the same.

I'm filling in https://rootssearch.io/search myself as a workaround.

Hello All! I shut down my computer fully last night and just 'booted up' about an hour ago. I resumed work on a profile that was unfinished and am happy to report that I am able to access FamilySearch, etc. using the 'Research' tab on the WikiTree profile.

There must have been a bug, bot, or Gremlin. Rob, Jim, Florian and Alice thank you all so very much for your feedback. I only wish I had a 12 year old living in my neighborhood to help me with this technology!
