1. It looks like three brothers moved from Sandwich, Barnstable, Mass to Northampton, NY after independence...Jabez Gibbs (with who?), Benjamin Gibbs (with Deborah Pope?) and Elisha Gibbs (with Betsey Burgess?). Looks like their parents were Jabez Gibbs and Susan Cornish.
2. Who was Jabez's first wife? Later he re-married and had three more children with a woman named Mehitable (?). The name Harlow started appearing as a first or middle name in this branch of the Gibbs family circa 1820. Is there a Harlow connection back to Sandwich?
3. Per the Compendium of Early Mohawk Valley Families... Present at his probate in 1826 were children of first wife Elisha Gibbs(eldest), William Gibbs, Sarah Gibbs Redway, Anna Gibbs Lewis, Susannah Gibbs Redway, Lemira Gibbs Seamans and Betsey Gibbs Bowton. Children of second wife Mehitable are Jabez Gibbs Jr, Charlotte Gibbs Seamons and Ruth Gibbs.
