merge bug, sister has extra profile when on brother's page [closed]

Question

When I go to Alexander Felix Payne's profile, i see two sisters of the same name.  But when I click on either, it shows a merge has already taken place and there is only one profile.  How to fix?

Hello LaMyra.

That´s a known bug that sometimes happen after a merge is completed.

Payne-11415 was merged into Payne-11223.

But, when yhou go to their mothes's profile (Jane (Daugherty) Payne), there are two daugthers named Permelia (the merged away profile) and Parmelia (the only and final profile).

On "Edit" mode, look for the link "[add/remove child]" in the section "Edit Family" (in the column at the RH side of the page). Select "Remove her child" and "Permelia W Payne (Payne-11415)" and click on "CONTINUE".

This should fix the issue.

Hi LaMyra.  This appears to be one of the infamous "ghost profiles" from a long-ago bug that occasionally resulted from a merge.  Here's the latest description I could find for removing the "ghost," but I know I have a more general description somewhere:
