Oh Sally, what a wonderful way to make the perfect gift--especially in those days.  Must have cost a pretty penny, but just think how treasured it was!

Carrie Minette (Jacobs) Bond

Can't find a profile on WikiTree...she is a Notable Wikipedia Carrie Jacobs-Bond Song Writer

Here is the music: Bing Crosby  You Tube:

Bing Videos

I love you truly, truly dear,
Life with its sorrow, life with its tear
Fades into dreams when I feel you are near
For I love you truly, truly dear.

Ah! Love, 'tis something to feel your kind hand
Ah! Yes, 'tis something by your side to stand;
Gone is the sorrow, gone doubt and fear,
For you love me truly, truly dear.

Carrie Jacobs-Bond began to write songs in 1894 to supplement the income of her husband, Frank Bond.[1] When he died in 1895, she returned briefly to her hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin, where "I Love You Truly" was written.[2] She then moved to Chicago where she painted china and rented out rooms to make ends meet.[1] There she continued to write songs and eventually sought to publish them herself. With the encouragement and assistance of friends, including a loan from contralto Jessie Bartlett Davis, in 1901 she published a sheet music collection of her compositions called Seven Songs as Unpretentious as the Wild Rose, one of which was "I Love You Truly".

She's on WikiTree, David:  Carrie Minette (Jacobs) Bond.

Star, I already made her profile, then contacted Loraine Jacobs, a WikiTree member, then I removed myself and she took over the profile Sunday morning!  She was really happy.  I got Carrie Jacobs-Bond connected to the tree. It felf good!.  Her profile will be well cared for by Loraine now.  In the process, we found Loraine and I are cousins! So, Carrie is my cousin also! How kewl is that!heart You and I are also cousins!heart I love WikiTree!

Oh, David, I should have known you'd be on top of this as soon as you found there was no profile! Proud to be one of your many cousins! heart
