Ok, I have two paths to David Tennant so I guess I'm on Team Tennant! One is to him - 28 degrees - but is VERY suspect specifically relating to Robert Perry. So I don't believe that is accurate at all. However, the other - 23 degrees - through his wife Georgia Moffatt I can get all the way to connection 15 before it needs work!

Team Tennant! 25 degrees, but i'm sure its a lot closer than that. After watching David on "Who do you think you are", i'm sure there is a direct connection through my father. His ancestor was a McLeod from Mull and my family was from there, with one son being Murdoch McLau (McLeod) Reid. His mother was Betty Ross, another surname that appears in David's lineage.
I haven't found definitive proof of Betty's birth yet, but i'm travelling to the Isles this year and hope to be able to fill in a lot of gaps.

All of that wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff seemed to get away from me this week. We're great fans of David Tennant at home, and I remained just 22 degrees away all week, as my ancestor Experience Stark's sister-in-law Susan Walworth and Georgia Tennant's ancestor Mary Smith's sister-in-law Eunice Walworth were (you guessed it!) sisters.

I thought I'd explore my 30-step path to William Hartnell instead to give the longer path some love. I wound up adding sources and a couple of relatives to many of the profiles along this path, and just uncovered a possible shortcut to explore and source. But not in time for this week's challenge to conclude! 

One weevil I hope to have squashed involves the death date and location of William Hartnell's father-in-law's brother-in-law George Harmsworth. I was able to read the paragraph in the national probate calendar, and I believe I've confirmed his death in 1917. 

We were previously leaning toward a 1938 death registration entry for George. The 1917 death was believed to have been in Berkshire, which seemed rather remote given his life in Ealing. As it turns out the 1917 death was in Holloway Sanitorium, which treated patients with mental illnesses expected to be temporary. I look forward to seeing what busy WikiTreer Desmond Lynch (or the rest of you!) think of my correction.
