William Tyler's children

Question

Ancestry is trying to tell me that William Tyler (brother of President Tyler) is my third great grandfather, but it shows his wife as only "Ann" and not "Susan Harrison Tyler".  My second great grandfather (which is actually documented" is "John Berry (Hicks) Tyler.  I am trying to determine if, possibly, John Berry Tyler was born our of an extramarital relationship.

I am not sure of the source your were given on Ancestry,com, but I am assuming it was either from a "hint" or "Thrulines". Either way, be very careful as Ancestry does not verify the info that is entered into the site, and you probably were given hints to info that is not correct.

I can say that William Tyler, brother to President John Tyler, was married to only one wife, Susan Harrison Walker.
