Thumbnails for PDFs on profiles

I just uploaded a PDF of a marriage certificate to one of my relative's pages, and was shocked to see it just show up as an ugly generic PDF icon on the profile.

It would be much, much nicer if it could display a thumbnail of the first page, at the very least.

Hey Kevin,

That's not really much of an explanation beyond what I already said. I know it currently doesn't display a thumbnail, I am suggesting that be changed.

Hello Brian,

we should read diligently. Following the link of Kevin, I read:
"You can upload and store PDF files as images on WikiTree, but we are not currently able to display them as images."

Thats the reason: not currently able to display as images

You write: "I am suggesting that be changed."

Then we get the loop to the expression: not currently able

The solution would be to unpack the pdf and re-upload it in one of the acceptable image formats.  Then it will show as an image instead of the pdf icon.
Siegfried,
"Not currently able" can encompass many, many things, including simply "we have not prioritized working on this yet." Without further reasoning given, it's not helpful. If the issue is prioritization, the feedback "this should be changed" and subsequent votes to the feedback helps determine how much it should be prioritized. If the issue is some other limitation, that would be helpful to know.
