We have a profile that may not be a real person. It has a source but none of the Acadian project leaders have been able to produce the information quoted:
Bona Arsenault, Histoire et Genealogie des Acadiens, 1671, 1648. I assume it is page 1648 but the entry is not clear about that.
Can anyone with access to Arsenault's book see if they can determine if Alphonse was actually documented in this family? Arsenault has many errors and we have been unable to prove this person in any other way.
Or any other source would be welcomed too.
There were no other known Alphonse Dugas people in WikiTree or Acadia until the mid-1800-'s. Otherwise a merge with the similarly named brother might be indicated.
