Can someone look up this source?

Question

We have a profile that may not be a real person.  It has a source but none of the Acadian project leaders have been able to produce the information quoted:

Bona Arsenault, Histoire et Genealogie des Acadiens, 1671, 1648.  I assume it is page 1648 but the entry is not clear about that.

Can anyone with access to Arsenault's book see if they can determine if Alphonse was actually documented in this family?  Arsenault has many errors and we have been unable to prove this person in any other way.

Or any other source would be welcomed too.

There were no other known Alphonse Dugas people in WikiTree or Acadia until the mid-1800-'s.  Otherwise a merge with the similarly named brother might be indicated.

Opinions, please.

There wasn't much given in the "source citation" but I think so.  Do you have a copy of it you can check for this boy?

I "borrowed" the electronic copy of this book via the above link, and it looks to me that there are two brief mentions of Jean Dugas in this book, but nothing about his children. An Alphonse Dugas is not found anywhere here.

I found the preview, thankfully.  There was no mention of this or any of the siblings.  At least we know, now.  Thanks for your help with the link.  Next time I will remember that.

I have Bona Arsenault’s books. Page 1648 is in volume 4. Jean Dugas’ entry has a footnote where other children are mentioned, including an Alphonse.
