Because there were numerous German immigrants to the United States who were not named Ostermann nor related to Ostermanns, and there are both Projects and other pages related to Germany-to-US immigrants, I took.the liberty of editing the title of your question to clarify its focus.

You might consider including this page in an Ostermann one name study.

I took a second to search the NLA Archives of Niedersachsen and the emigration records there show 4 records.  very limited information (no birth dates)--but it might help somehow

Alas!, when I click on the link, it gives me 726 hits, and I can't see which ones are for emigrated Ostermann :(

I usually work on Catholics so that I can use Matricula Online (among other reasons). I suspected Ostermanns to be mostly Lutheran, but I found a fairly well-documented Ostermann who was a nun and made a profile for her.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ostermann-897

There are definitely also Catholic Ostermanns. One of them even was Bishop of Münster, cf. Friedrich Ostermann.
