Why does the connection finder provide a different path to Brigham Young for a husband and spouse?

Curiosity Q's:

1.  Brigham Young (BY) to me = 15 degrees, to my wife 16 via me; an expected result; but the route from BY to my (Known) family members is different for each of us - why?  Yet for the Liz Taylor (19) degrees we both have identical routes to reach me.

2. The Connection route seems odd as it chooses " parent =>Child => brother/sister =>......" instead of going directly to the more direct child and thereby reducing the degree count by 1.

As I said - just curious!

And yes, I knew we have LSD links in our family tree(s) but never thought it was so close to BY.  Thanks for that insightful prompt.

If you are located 15 degrees in more than one way, I think it will randomly show any of the possibilities each time you generate it. If you want to see a different path you can click in the "x" next to any person along the path and it will show your connection without that person.
