1871 Census on Ancestry

Is it just me or is Ancestry's transcription of the 1871 UK Census particularly poor? And by poor I mean downright appalling.

It's not just the 1871.  Their transcribers can be appalling through any and all of the censuses.  That said, we should be thankful for the ones they get right... ;-)

By poor do you mean more transcription errors like misspelled names? Or missing information?

The amount of data transcribed in the England and Wales Censuses on Ancestry does vary. For many years they fail to transcribe the marital status and the occupation.
