Why can't I get the "connection" feature to display the alternative view?

Question

When I push the button asking for a "alternative view generational path", nothing happens. When I look at the web console, I see these messages:

Hi Peter, a bug fix for this is just waiting to be pushed to the live site -- probably sometime today or tomorrow.
