What is your source that James Sheppard who was married to Anne Lancaster was the son of Jonathanand Martha Sheppard?

Question

James Sheppard who married Anne Lancaster was born about 1797 per census records. James the son of Jonathan and Martha Sheppard was born 1787 and married Margaret Lockhart per public records. My tree begins with James Sheppard and Anne Lancaster and I believe we descend from the Sheppards that Jonathan descends from, but have never found a solid source for the parents of Anne Lancaster’s husnband, James.

It looks like the member who connected the parents passed away in 2022. The parents could be marked as uncertain and the profile could be categorized in Unsourced Profiles for now.

John, I adopted this profile since Jonathan was a grandfather but I did not add to his profile. I looked to see who made the update and it was Mary (Gill-8865) Dykes. I went to her profile and as stated above it appears Mary has passed away.
