Could someone help me determine which Dale Murphy's need to be merged?

I think the two Dale Murphy's that need to be merged are my paternal grandfather's..i.e..Dale Clare Murphy (1913 - 1967). My birth name is Dale Patrick Murphy, but I go by my middle name. I'd like to change the name on my account to Dale Patrick Murphy, or Dale P. Murphy. My account is Murphy-32225. Thank you for your time.   Patrick

I think your paternal grandfather's profile was already merged. Is there another Dale Murphy on here that you think may be a duplicate? Do you have a link?

You would be the one to edit your own profile. Put Dale in the proper first name and you can put Patrick in the preferred name (if you want). Patrick could also go in the middle name unless your proper name is Dale Patrick (this is so in certain countries that do not use a middle name). A middle name is common in the United States, but not in many other countries.
