Is 2024 your year to join the England Project?

Question

 

The England Project is a fun and collaborative Project team to be involved in. We have several hundred active members creating and improving English Profiles. We have a strong sense of community, and our teams are organised to enable members to work in their areas of interest to help make every English Profile the best it can be.

Your journey with us will begin by completing our Orphan Trail which takes about 4-6 weeks. You will be teamed up with a Trailblazer, a WikiTree Trail Guide, to work with one-on-one. The Orphan Trail helps you learn how to work with our English Profile Standards and where to discover English sources. You’ll find it invaluable when working on your own English ancestors!

During the OT, we get to learn more about you and what your interests are – and you get to learn more about the Project and our members. Once you have finished the Orphan Trail you will join one of our teams beyond the Trail and make connections with members who share your own interests.

Hello, I have many English ancestors, some confirmed by DNA and some not, and would like to be able to help improve orphaned profiles as mentioned in this projects explanation as well as gain more skills for research and brick wall busting. I only work three days a week and have plenty of free time to contribute!

Hello. I have ancestors mainly in the Cornwall and Devon areas of England. It is a one-name family under Dayman/Dyment/etc. Thank you for including me and giving me any information that may improve my family tree.

Greetings! I came across the English Project quite by accident. However, I found it interesting. I have an extensive line of English ancestors in my family tree, including some nobility and even some Royalty. I would enjoy being a part of this project.

Keen to join this group.  By my and my wife's family trees contain many ancestors from England.  And, we currently live in London and enjoy travelling around the UK (as well as Europe), so we might be able to help with in-person research here as well.

Hi I joined a few days ago and have been entering my family tree. I have an ancestor born prior to 1700 and I would like to add her name. I found her husband had a profile here and I emailed the profile creator and he agreed that Sarah Goodwin was indeed the wife of Ralph Holland and he asked me to add her. However I don't think I can, as a new member
