When did Gustaf Andersson get the soldier name Gustaf Lejon?

Gustaf Andersson lived with his father Anders Trygg until, at age 17, he moved to Rinna.  Six years later he is called Gustaf Andersson Lejon.  Would someone please document the new name?

Gustaf Andersson moves from Ekeby to Åsbo parish in 1855 and there he is "livgrenadjär" Gustaf Leijon.

I have added his residence in Ekeby in 1854, where he is listed as Gustaf Andersson Trygg and as he moves to Åsbo his name is Gustaf Andersson (Lejon).

Also shouldn't his LNAB be just the patronymic?
by Mark Williams G2G6 Pilot (439k points)
It should be Trygg or Andersson.  Andersson-Trygg should be changed
Correct. I am still getting accustomed to Wikitree LNAB expectations with patronymics, so I wasn't sure what to with the patronymic if Gustaf and all his siblings are all simply Trygg.

Should the patronymic be put in "Other Last Name(s)"?
The patronymic can be put in the field of the Middle name if the family have and use a family name at time of birth.

I would like to add the entry I had located, however, it states (in Swedish) that this is secondary information; I don't know from where the primary source information originates. Also, from the URL I had saved in my personal notes, the entry number in the final URL doesn't seem to be permanent.

Here is the search URL:

https://soldat.elektronikhuset.it/soldatregister/search.sv.aspx

into which I entered...

Soldatens namn: Gustaf

Släktnamn: Andersson / Trygg

Född: 1832

Död: 1919

Then click Sök

The result for LEJON Gustaf can then be clicked for more detail.

In case the following is unknown information to anyone here regarding Swedish soldier names and the allotment system...

I agree that the lack of permanent links to search results in Soldatregistret is annoying. I have even had failures with the link to the search page, so I'm in the habit of using their general home page as my starting point:

https://www.soldatreg.se/sok-soldat/

I never noticed before, but there's a section in English. You can even do the search from a page that is (mostly) translated from Swedish.

As for Gustaf Lejon the more detailed information includes that he was enlisted in 1854 - which is relevant to the question about his name change - and dismissed in 1886.

The rest of the info makes it possible to find him in the muster rolls:

Regemente: Andra livgrenadjärregementet
Rote: Hultekil
Kompani: SKENNINGE
Socken: ÅSBO
Torpnummer: AL-07-0055

The roll for 1856 is the one describing his enlistment:
