Parents of John Carter of Irchester Northamptonshire 1678.

I am trying to find the parents of John Carter circa 1678 from Irchester Northamptonshire John was a trooper in Lieutenant General Henry Lumley's 2Nd regiment of horse. His father was either William or John Carter with the respective spouses Jane Hollowell or Mary Wallis. I know that John settled in Irchester after leaving the Army but his origins and that of his father are unknown.

Good afternoon, I actually live in Ecton Brook which is about 10 minutes from Irchester in Northamptonshire, if it would be of any assistance and depending on the weather over the weekend I can go and have a look at the cemetery in Irchester and check out the headstones for them names. Also you give the name of Jane Hollowell. I’m not sure if you are aware but Hollowell is the name of a village that is also 10 minutes from me in the opposite direction so I could also have a check there as well for any names.
