Question

The January 2024 Connect-a-Thon is only 4 weeks away, the Splendid Spruces team is non-regional so you can work on any profiles anywhere in the world.

Hi! I commented in the sign up and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm in the US and spend most of my time researching Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Yorkshire, England, and Quebec, Canada.

There are 36 teams in the Connect-a-Thon starting Friday 19th January.

The event starts at 8 AM EST (1pm UTC) and runs until Monday, January 22, at 8 AM EST (1pm UTC).

There are 3 divisions with 12 teams in each division.

Division I teams have 1 to 14 members.  

Division II teams have 15 to 25 members.

Division III teams have 26 to 50 members.  

There are 3 ways to win.

There will be an overall winner among all 36 teams based on raw points.

There will be an overall winner among all 36 teams based on normalized points (averaged based on team size).

There will be winners for each division based on raw points.

The Splendid Spruce Team has 15 members and will be in Division II

Thanks for the words of appreciation.  I was pleased to see that we came second in our division.  Where were we in the normalized rankings? Couldn't find that stat anywhere.

I'm so sorry I couldn't participate more. My right shoulder was hurt, so I could only use my mouse in small spurts. I was frustrated, because one of my relatives had 11 children, so there were loads of additional profiles I could have added.

Well done Team - hoped to create more but I am ill (Cold / Headache / Temperature etc) now on the whisky-all-in and sleep. My aim was at least 150 which I am surprised that I managed to achieve.
