Conflated families of Crowell Willson?

I was researching the parents of Sarah Elizabeth Willson/Wilson Petrie.  I first found 2 profiles for her mother Jane Mitton and her father that I suggested merges for.  Then I started looking at her father Crowell Willson.  There seem to be two separate persons born within a few years of each other to different parents.  I added 3 censuses to the profile and some research notes.  The two sets of parents do not match the profiles on find a grave and family search and are possibly interchanged. The two men ended up in different locations and had different wives.  Could someone please help with more information as to who the correct parents are?   If the mother of Willson-172 turns out to be Hannah Sypes Willson, she is my 5th great grandaunt.

Thanks, Carol-Lynn

These Willson's can be confusing. There were three different Benjamin's that we had to sort out. Loyalists of Ontario lists the Loyalist Benjamin's children, but of the children it only lists the children for Crowell. It shows that his Crowell (of Crowland) married a woman named Amy: https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/7942536?mark=7b22746f6b656e223a22695674526e30675a70434a7a43483666564673764377496d467a5a6541375051717065536d716d745761513d222c22746f6b656e5f76657273696f6e223a225632227d

And the Mullins Family History Project reports that Crowell's son Crowell remained on the family farm in Crowland until at least 1847. The project also reports access to Gilman's family bible and that he had a son Crowell b.1800 and this was the Crowell who with his parents moved to Dunwich Middlesex county in 1811. See https://web.archive.org/web/20211113022511/https://www.mullinsfamilyhistoryproject.com/bio-gilman-willson?rq=willson

So it does look like your Crowell is the son of Gilman and Hannah, who is also my wife's 5th great grandaunt.

Thank you so much Dave for your help and information!  And for providing links that I could access... you are a great help. That's so interesting that your wife and I are cousins : )

I will work on the profiles later and make sure they are untangled.

Thanks, Carol-Lynn
