Given name Fake

Question

In the Netherlands, mainly in Drenthe the male given name Fake occurs. This name is not 'fake'. But I think the profile Fake Fake of our guest-member Fake Fake seams to be really fake.

I'd say that's true, and it's one of the reasons I don't think Guest members should be able to do anything but look around.  I don't like that they can post or send private messages when there is no way at all to know who they are.  Wikitree says all profiles must have a first and last name and says specifically "Do not enter Living or a fake name or alias" so it seems like there should be some way to prevent "names" like this.

There are quite a few of these, so it would seem there is little to no effort to prevent it.

The system can tell me things like "Parent cannot be less than X years older than child" and give me a list of possible matches when I am adding a profile.

It seems like the system could pick up a name like Fake or Living and flag it. A message might tell "Living" that they cannot continue without a real name, and explain how the security here is tight.

I agree with Kathie that Guest members should just be able to look around and decide if they want to do the easy process of joining.
