Hi Katherine, was Samuel the biological son of Samuel Christian or was he only enslaved by Samuel? If it's the second, we can help you link them a different way.

Yes...and No....Samuel is listed as mulatto and there is a Samuel who owned a plantation...Is he dna connected as the father who knows...his Son was also a slave owner named Allen. So...if there is a way to list the slaves separate from the owners lineage I would like to separate them. I am in contact with a dna relative from the Christian line. And I am DNA connected to several with the last name of Christian but they are not friendly.

Hi Katherine, I just took a look at this an see this is past slavery time. I don't see the slavery era Christian family you're referring to. We might have our generations mixed up here?

Thank Emma...there is a Christian family history that I found online...that I am drawing info from. There were several slave owners in the Christian line and several slaves given as gifts to other family members. If you can find other reason for Samuel (My GGF) to be mulatto that would be great news. It's not going to be easy...Thanks for getting back to me! I am going to take a break from Genealogy for awhile...Katherine
