This list includes the number of soldiers per regiment, the commanders and the types of cannon in each artillery battery. I researched to find information about many of the leaders such as their previous service in military or politics and their post-war achievements. For example, I think I count 6 who were state governors either before, during or after the War; and of course one past Vice President of the US. One soldier in the 6th Arkansas was Pvt Henry Stanley who became Sir Henry Morton Stanley ("Dr. Livingston, I presume" fame).
