I would like to know my family history on my dad's side. His sur is Budd from Springhill Nova Scotia Canada.

I am looking for information about my family on my dad's side his name was Gerald R Budd  born Springhill Nova Scotia 1932. I would like information about his parents who were my grand parents.

Hi Gerald, My mother's Mom was Ruth, daughter of Uda Wava from what we have found through geneology. We have not been able to find much more out past them either.

Is your father still alive? If so, can he apply for a birth certficate? If he has passed away you should be able to apply for it yourself, being a direct descendant. Tracing living people can be difficult because of the privacy restrictions.

Greta Leona is my maternal grandmother. Harold was her my maternal grandfathers brother. I have a tree on ancestry and the family seems to come from Surrey England
