That seems to be my brick wall. Father of William c hogue 1869, father of Edd Leroy hogue 1892

Ricky, do you have sources that put his father in SC? On Familysearch the tree (unsubstantiated) points to a Joe Carson Hogue born in Germany as the father of William, but that depends if William died in Tempe, AZ or not. Well a William C Hogue definately died in Tempe AZ, and was married to Cynthia Hughes. But that death record is the only shred of evidence I have on a father's name.

As far as a Josiah, I found a Josiah in a 1950 census. Check out this record I found on the Ancestry mobile app
