Robert Carter b. 1790/1795 Virginia & Kentucky

I am researching my brick wall ancestor, Robert Carter. He is the father of Alexander Carter, Sr. born in either Green County or Woodford County KY in 1822 and died in Audrain County Missouri in 1902.

Alexander'd obituary states he is a decadent of "King" Carter of Virginia, but I'm doubting this connection.

There has been some suggestion his father was Joseph Carter of KY, but no documentation provided.

I'm unable to find his birth, death, land, military, etc. records linking a Robert Carter to Alexander Carter paternally.

Any help is appreciated!

So now you have ABSOLUTE proof that i finally was able to send you that Robert Carter was the son of Joseph Carter of Green co ky. being the Probate record of Joseph Carter and the power of attorney from the heirs of Robert Carter which stated his father was in fact Joseph Carter of Green co Ky and we were able to rule out Robert Poval Carter son of John B. Carter because he is shown living after Robert Carter of Green Ky was known to have died.
