U.S. Republican Debate Pop Up Challenge

Question

Tonight, eight American political rivals will be facing off in the year's first Republican Presidential Debate; each hoping to be selected as their party's candidate to run against President Joe Biden in next year's presidential election. Win or lose, each of these individuals is already highly notable, yet only two are connected to the Big Tree. In fact, none of the other six have a single relative connected. Let's see how quickly we can get the others connected and how vastly we can expand their CC7s.

While I suspect it's "nearly" a sure thing that President Biden will get the democratic nomination , he still has to go through the selection process which hasn't happened just yet. I believe there are 3 candidates on the democratic side at the moment. Minor nit, but at some point, you may also desire to expand it to the three other candidates too. (Biden, Williamson, Kennedy) or however many others join the race, or have a separate one for them.

I din't include the Democrats because my focus was on the debate and connecting the unconnected. Obviously, Biden and RFK Jr. are very well connected, as is the "missing candidate," Donald Trump. For those who are interested here are the links to Trump and the Democratic candidates:

I am going to begin by attaching parents to as many of the candidates as possible. Some still have living parents which means those profiles won't be visible, but we can still use them to make connections. In those cases, I'll create the private profiles and then try to add some deceased grandparents or other relatives so we can begin making connections.

I have located Chris Christie's parents and grandparents. I found his father living as recently as 2016, but don't know whether or not he has passed since then. He would be about 90 years old now, so he may very well be alive. I will keep his profile private unless somebody had evidence that he has passed. In the meantime, I can add the grandparents so people can try to make connections. Looks like this line is going to take us quickly back to Italy.

I have added Ron DeSantis' parents. His father is deceased, his mother appears to still be living. If anyone knowns differently, please let me know. Her parents' profiles have also been added and are open.

Nikki Haley's parents have lived in the United States since about the 1960's. I have added their names to her profile. However, through Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com, it appears that there were multiple individuals with the same names living in the United States during the same time period. As a result, I have not created individual profiles until the records can be better scrutinized.

Also, I believe her parents are still living, so we will need to come up with grandparents, or perhaps the family of her husband or one of her sibling's spouses.

I found an obituary for Tim Scott's maternal grandfather Artis Ware here. His FS profile is here. I don't have time to create his profile at the moment, but maybe someone else will be able to make some progress from that.
