[Sidebar: I'm looking at this 1850 census; it appears she's 18, not 15. I compared 5s and 8s elsewhere on the page. Looks more like an 8 than a 5. Looks like familysearch indexers concur.]

I did not find her parents but added 3 children that were missing from her profile.

Hi Donnie,

I went to see if there were any Waldrops in Laurens, SC in 1840-- there were three:

  1. Wm A., appears to be btw 30-40; with a wife? age 20-30 and at least two children under 5 (one of which could be Polly, but also some other householders who are too old to be their children. It appears he's here in 1850 (notice the wife ten years younger).  THIS appears to be his wikitree profile. Looking some more at this profile, it includes references to bible records and other probate records, none of which includes a daughter Mary/Polly who married a Tumblin.
  2. William, also btw 30-40; with a wife? in same age range (30-40), and children young enough to include Polly. Having difficulty finding him in 1850. [In 1850, there are three William Waldrops (in addition to #1 Wm A, above) born in South Carolina between 1800-1810 -- one in Chambers, Alabama; one in Crawford, Illinois; one in Spartanburg, SC.] Given that #1 Wm A and #3 Richard appear to be ruled out, #2 feels like a more likely candidate, but what happened to him?
  3. Richard. is two rows below William. He is between 60-70, with a wife? same age range, and no children right age to be Polly. So you can rule him out, probably. He might be a grandparent.

Have you researched the two Williams to see if they left probate or land records?

Edited to add details
