Familysearch download problem

Question

Never had any problems downloading records from Familysearch.com. Now all of a sudden, for some only records,  it comes up when you click on the Download' tab: "Due to contract restrictions this feature is disabled"

Any  ideas on how to fix it?

It looks like FamilySearch might be having some technical issues.  I'm not getting the same error as you but have received the following message on certain records today  "We are unable to display the record for this source.  Please try again later."

I have occasionally seen this. Usually a second attempt works, if not just do what it suggests and come back later. If it doesn’t work contact FS help.

There is no fix.  As you said "Due to contract restrictions this feature is disabled".

If you have a large enough monitor, you could do a screen capture of it.

Hmmmmm.  It sounds like "exactly" the same issue is happening in January 2024.  Hoping to add to a Louisiana profile which has 1920, 1930, and 1940 Censuses.  I don't believe there are any "Ancestry-licensing" issues.  The "Download" icon is present, and the word "download" appears, but nothing seems to make any different.

 I guess I'll wait.
