Recommendations to troubleshoot incorrectly attached people using YDNA?

There are two seperate/distinct Campbell branches that incorrectly show YDNA tests attached to them. The test is associated correctly with a third branch. Obviously the wrong child or children were attached to a parent somewhere along the way causing the problem. Is there someway to troubleshoot this issue?

Hi Kevin,

At the link there is only one Y-DNA attached to a member linked to the Paternal line of the profile. The other Y-DNA you see listed is only there incidentally because the person is an autosomal match and the person has their own Y-DNA in their own information.

It's easier to sort in your mind if you colorcode it, with the blue equalling the Y DNA attached to the profile and the green is just the autosomal.

Perhaps someone has a suggestion to make the text more clear.

Hi Kevin,

The linked profile is not currently showing any Y-DNA connections, so I'm not clear whose test you think is incorrect for what profile(s). But you could use the Relationship Finder, and enter in the ID's of the "incorrect" tester and the profile displaying the incorrect test, and select the button for 'limit to paternal line' to see how the paternal relationship is currently reflected in the tree.

Looks like the test is no longer associated with this line. Apparently when a change is made to a line it takes a day to rest the YDNA lines. I have seen that when adding a test but I have not seen how it does updates to a line.
