Need help deciphering handwriting in Italian document

Question

I can't make out the age of Giovanni Buttacavoli in this marriage record. It's on the tenth line of the document.The handwriting is so hard to read. It looks like it might be "ventisei", but I'm not sure. The beginning of the word is written much like "Ventitre" in the date at the beginning of the document, but that's my only clue. Gracie!

Jodi, looks like 26 to me and Catarina looks like 16. His parents both dead. Her father might be 49-mother is 40.

I see 26 also. Find his birth record in 1826-1827 and you'll have confirmation.

Thanks, Frank! I did find an 1825 birth record for a Giovanni Buttacavoli, with the same parents named. I'm now looking for one for 1826-1827. I also found a death record, on Ancestry, for a Giovanni Buttacavoli, who died in 1860 at 27, and who was the spouse of Catarina D'Agostino. Sorry about the Ancestry link. I'm trying to find it on Portale Atenati. The ages in these records contradict each other, but the names don't. It's kind of fun sorting it out, and a little frustrating at the same time! It does help that we agree that his age was 26 in 1853, when it really is so hard to read.
