Thirty Million profiles (yeah 30,000,000) connected to the Big Tree

We reached a big milestone! As of now, there are more than 30 million profiles connected to the Big Tree. A "well done!" to all of us.

To be exact (on this day), we have:

• 34,912,341 profiles created (0:00 UTC)
• 30,002,875 profiles connected
• 4,833,682 profiles unconnected

Previous connection totals:

• 25 Mar 2023:  29,003,032 (4,789,934 unconnected)
• 26 Dec 2022:  28,004,274 (4,710,730 unconnected)
• 04 Sep 2022:  27,008,028
• 23 May 2022:  26 million

Thanks Jelena I was sure you would be the first to post about it, as usual.

Previous similar milestone : 20 million were passed less than 3 years ago, on July 31, 2020.

Only recently we cracked one million registered users.

Next we'll get 35 million total profiles.

I agree well done to all WT members!

I currently have 8 unconnected profiles, out of 1966 profiles on my watchlist. 4 of them will probably stay unconnected. They are all local family names so most likely are somehow part of a local family  as the only information for them is burials and no records or info other than a name and a date on the headstone.  

The other 4 all Babcocks will be connected as soon as I can add the other family members who are connected to other Babcocks already on WT. I'm hoping to get them connected this weekend.

The % of unconnecteds is decreasing!

Love that we're pushing not just to create profiles and drop them by the wayside, but that we're working hard to show their relationships to others and also working hard to connect them to the big tree. Thanks to everyone who has worked on this and thanks to those who are continuing to make WikiTree a great place to work on family trees!
