Hello to all. I'm very new to Wikitree even though I created an account a few years ago. I've uploaded my GEDcom and now I'm trying to find my way through the next steps. Any help is much appreciated!
I've been researching my family in NC since 1997. My greatest moment so far was when my cousin and I were able to identify a woman in a picture that has been passed down through generations. This picture has been in my life since I was in early elementary school. Identifying her was my top goal. About 10 years ago, I finally discovered she is Amanda Hastings, my 3G grandmother. She is also my brick wall since I am unable to conclusively identify her parents. I'm now studying pre-1850 records in South Carolina and Georgia in order to find any information on her family.
I look forward to meeting others here as well as contributing years of research to the tree.
