I need a translation of the 1901 wedding record found at AlleGroningers; specifically any information relating to the bride's parents. Something about South America?? I can find no other traces of Antko Drenth. The mother (Reina) emigrated to the USA in 1906.

The mother of the bride declares that her husband left for South America in 1889 and is probably dead. It is not possible for her to give further explanations or to produce a death certificate.

I don't know if you got that the mother of the groom was nursed in an insane asylum in Zutphen?

Great, thanks! And no, did not get the asylum info!

Here's a newspaper article which describes what happened to Antko Drenth:

Zwerftochten.. "De grondwet". [s.l.], 24-10-1893, p. 11. Geraadpleegd op Delpher op 17-06-2023, https://resolver.kb.nl/resolve?urn=ddd:110620405:mpeg21:p011

Wow, interesting! Thanks!
What a great find Joke and a tragic story what happened to her.
