Mary Ida (Hicks) Trexler (1907 - 1989) and her Bible

Hi Wikitreers,

I have in my antique collection the Bible of this dear lady and it is full of genealogy info for this Trexler family which includes the births, marriages and death dates. There is actually two bibles but have only gone through this particular Bible. I’d like to get her connected. She was obviously a woman of devout faith apparently of the Catholic faith?

Any collaboration in her genealogy is appreciated

Thank you

Addendum: both bibles are pocket size and very small. I’ll update more when I have a chance to go through the other Bible which is smaller but has many inside mementos

Cousin Andrew,

It seems you're off to a good start.

May I suggest that have the Bibles included in the Library of Virginia's Family Bible Records?  See the details at: https://www.lva.virginia.gov/public/guides/bible.htm

I just left my great grandmother's Bible, Sallie Pearl (Lester) Canada (1877-1950) [Lester-5565], there on Friday to be copied.

That is very neat I didn’t know they had a place that preserves them. Thank you yes

The Bible is a small pocket Bible measures 3.5” width and 5” length in good condition. I believe the date is 1935

I’ve added some of the inside of the second smaller pocket Bible I like this section of “kissing lane” how true
