Eleanor Newton of Skillington Lincolnshire DoB 1722, widow of Richard Pickworth, married Isaac GOODBOURN at Westborough, Lincolnshire on 13 Jun 1767.  According to a family tree on Ancestry.co.uk Eleanor passed in 1778. but I have not found any sources from the parish registers to confirm that.

Any help would be much appreciated.

A search on FindmyPast shows a record for a burial at Westborough with Dry Doddington in Lincolnshire for an 'Eleanor Goodbourne' 1721-1795.

The parish register is available on FMP (pay-per-view) for £1.50 or there is a transcript on FreeReg.

Thanks for looking.

Nothing showed up when I ran a search.  Can you provide a link?
Search parameters on FindmyPast - go to parish burials in 'birth, marriage, death and parish records';  'Eleanor' 'GoodbournE' - 2 results for the same person; 1 original register and 1 transcript both for Westborough and Dry Doddington.

Search parameters on FreeREG - 'Eleanor' 'GoodbournE'; 'burials' 'Lincolnshire' produces only 1 result at All Saints Westborough.
The record is on FamilySearch  (as are most Lincolnshire records - the trick is finding them...). Source is:
* '''Burial''': "England, Lincolnshire, Parish Registers, 1538-1990"<br/>{{FamilySearch Record|QPSH-Q2Q8}} (accessed 31 May 2023)<br/>{{FamilySearch Image|3QS7-8979-CWY}} Image number 00714<br/>Eleanor Goodbourne burial (died age 74) on 1 Aug 1795 in Westborough, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom.
Many thanks, Roy.

Lesson learned, Do Not trust Ancestry family trees, Date quoted 7 years out.
To be fair, not everything on Ancestry is wrong. Sometimes, when I'm having difficulty with someone, I'll look at Ancestry trees, just to see what they say. They have at times provided the hint that lead to the correct sources.
So yes, perhaps look for pointers. But always do your own research, ideally looking at the actual images. Trust your own judgement.
Just so, check, check check everything.

Some of the errors are just silly though, American tree builders getting confused by place names that derived from the home town of founding emigres.

I always consult maps to check the feasibility of a link, e.g. Eleanor's second husband Isaac was born in the next parish to the west, some 1.8 miles by road from their place of residence.  If the parish had been a couple of days travel away, I would be less confident.
