I was born in New Hampshire. Most of my mother's family has been in Southeastern Massachusetts for centuries. My father was a first-generation American whose parents were immigrants from France. Oddly enough, my French grandmother was half American through her mother.
I've been an amateur genealogist for quite some time. I serve as a Councilor at NEHGS/American Ancestors and am a member of both the GSMD and the Jamestowne Society. My current research is on my Quaker ancestors from Nantucket and New Bedford and my German ancestors from the Kingdom of Hanover.
I'm very curious about my Chardon patrilineal line (French), especially since my yDNA haplogroup is quite rare. I enjoy helping people with their DNA questions, including finding unknown ancestors.
