New member, name is Edward Reeves Bates. I am a direct descendant of Henry Bates of Wallingford, Ct (about 1700), who married Mary Chatfield on 9 May 1712. Elias was one of their children, and I am descended from Elias. I am looking for the ancestors of Henry Bates.

Your next step is to upgrade to family member. Then you can start adding your family branches and digging into the research. Once you have a few recent profiles created, then you can tackle the research for Henry. You may want to connect with one of the projects for further assistance.
