I'm tracing an alleged connection between my cousin's father-in-law Odo Seeberg (died two years ago) and the notable theologian Reinhold Seeberg. I created profiles for Reinhold and his immediate family as far as I could find. Unfortunately, the in-laws of my cousin do not have source documents about Odo, but it is known that he was born in Riga in 1931 (the history of Riga between 1914 and 1950 is quite something!). In addition, they are convinced of the family lore that Odo's grandfather was a brother or cousin of Reinhold. The rest is hearsay: Odo's father ran a malt factory in Riga ("1. Rigaer Malzfabrik"); Odo's father was ostracised from his family for marrying "below his status", his wife's LNAB was "Kriews", possibly of Russian or Jewish background (the spelling is based on auditory impression, hence highly uncertain).
Any hints or links would be deeply appreciated.
