Here's a more recent news report:

The museum had apparently been making efforts to digitize records, but much had not been digitized and mementos and records on the Last Battalion seem to have been lost.

They will  rebuild, any digital records out there can be sent to the North Texas University digital repository.

I saw this on our morning news today. This is heartbreaking; I hope the records already digitized can be reassembled. The displays of historical objects are a total loss and nothing can make up for that.

A reminder to all of us to digitize and/or safely store our family history records and artifacts. Often the material is the result of many ancestors and relatives hard work assembling the information.
