Looking for DNA Matches to Naomi (Neely) Harvey

Question

I am looking for anyone with a DNA match to Naomi (Neely) Harvey. She was born in 1820 in North Carolina and married my 3rd Great Grandfather, John Pearce Harvey, 14 Sep 1837 in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia. The only other information I have on her is that she was living in Subdivision 22, Meigs County, Tennessee on the 1850 US Census. I have been looking for parental information for approximately 5 years with no luck. I'm hoping DNA will provide better results. Thank you. Traci Harvey - Morozko

Your ancestor Naomi Neeley Harvey does appear on a tree in Ancestry.  Parents are William Neeley and Margarette Shadwick. Have you tried searching on Ancestry?

Thank you for the Ancestry suggestion, I do use Ancestry, but there are many people adding speculative information to their trees and then others are adding to their trees based on that bad information. There was some speculation that William Neely may be Naomi's father, but my family and I have not been able to confirm with documentation. Margaret Elizabeth (Harvey) Shadwick (1848-1912) was Naomi and John's daughter. I'm not sure why some have her as Naomi's mother. I am related to Neely's on two branches of my tree. On my mother's side they are much easier to trace. I have done hours of research trying to determine if there is a common ancestor and that they are all the same Neely's. No luck yet.

I suggest that you add your DNA test to Gedmatch - that will make it much easier for others to check a possible DNA relationship.  It is free see Gedmatch

I also tried to see if we have a match on Ancestry but was unable to find you using tmorozko as shown on your account - is it correct for your user name?
