How to correct incorrect marriage

I have adopted some profile, among others (Ottesdatter-47), Margrete Ottesdatter Schult (she died 1692) who wrongly said to be married the second time 24.Sept.1695 to Herman (Hermansen) Schrøder, but they were married on 4.June 1691, The confusion is probably that Herman married a secon time with one with the same name Margrete Ottesdatter, and it was these who married 24.Sept.1695.

My Question is then: Why have wikitree made it so difficult to correct incorrect marriage date, why do the colum for marriage date disappears, you can always see information about birth and death date, but not the wedding. It would have been much easier if it had also remain. I havent figured out how to find it back. (But i am not good at the computers either).

Click the Edit button on the profile for Ottesdatter-47

You will see a list at the right that says Edit Family

Scroll down until you see Spouses

Click on the tiny letters that say Edit marriage to Herman under his name.

That will take you to a form where you can correct the date.

I would add a Research Note to the biography that says that Herman married two women with the same name so people will not make the same mistake again.
