On PM Trusted list but can not EDIT profiles that are Marked as PUBLIC

One of many profiles are marked Public,

 IE, Nevius-103, Nevius-85, Nevius-86, etc.

I am on the Trusted List for the PM, Ott-255.

What do I need to do to be able to update the many files that are marked Public? I like to update profiles with sources, relationship's, continue the the connections of the family tree.

Thank You,

Gary Nevius

FYI to Gary: I edited your message to remove the link to the other member's Trusted List. I did this because only people on that Trusted List can follow the link you added; the rest of us get taken to our own personal Trusted Lists.

You need to be on the Trusted List for each seperate profile.  Just being on the Trusted List for the PM does not count.

I rather often receive Trusted List requests for my personal Trusted List or for the Trusted List of a project account (such as WikiTree-8) from people who I think actually want to be on the trusted lists for specific profiles managed by me or by the project account.

Apparently more than a few members are confused by the instructions for requesting trusted list access. It could be helpful to know what element of the instructions leads people to think that they should request access to the profile manager's trusted list.

Thank you for the clarification

I have request many times to the PM per individual Profiles in the last year with no response. I shall again send a request to be added to the individual profiles.

There is a good explainer of the point Ros and Ellen make in the Trusted List FAQ:

If I add you to my Trusted List can you access every profile I can access?

No. Every profile has its own Trusted List. As a WikiTree user, you have a profile and your profile has a Trusted List. People on this list can access your profile but they cannot automatically access other profiles you have created or edited. Those other profiles have their own Trusted Lists.

If you have had no response to your requests, it's time to visit Help: Unresponsive Profile Managers and follow the instructions there.

MP hasn't been active for a while, so you need to do the Unresponsive PM process.  When you submit the form, you normally do it from one profile, so you will need to fill in ithe information that you want ancestors and descendants of that profile and any others, if that is what you want done.  Maybe they will orphan all of the open profiles. At least some of those profiles are possibly living profiles, so those profiles could be deleted when the Unreponsive form is filled out.
