Help finding records for Swedish family in town that had church fire

Howdy, folks-

I'm hoping to get some assistance finding information about a Swedish family I'm currently researching, at least part of which is from Ockelbo Parish in Gävleborg, where a number of records appear to be missing due to a church fire- at the very least, the birth records for the year 1870 don't seem to be listed.

I'm looking for info about Gustaf/Gustav Alfred Stone, who was supposedly born there to Per Stone (family surname was possibly originally Sten) & Katherine Anderson (likely originally a variant of Katarina Andersdotter) on 20 Dec 1870, according to his death certificate (linked on profile).

I'm also looking for info about his wife, Maria Landgren, though I don't yet have a place of birth for her more specific than Sweden. In 1910, they were living in Chicago, where they'd been married in 1904, along with Maria's mother, another Maria, for whom I have yet to find any more certain records.

Ideally I'd like to find a birth record for either one of them, but I'm guessing Gustaf's might no longer exist, so any other record of his or his parents' existence in Sweden would be helpful. I'm hoping/assuming Maria wasn't from Ockelbo at the moment- any indication of her birthplace or parentage would be useful.

I wish I had more details, but hopefully someone'll be able to help. Thanks in advance for anything!

I think I found Maria. I'm putting the stuff into a research note in her profile.

As for Ockelbo, I think you need to find somebody who has worked with the parish. There is Ockelbo Släktforskarförening: http://www.ockelboslf.se/kontakt.php

Done. It's a little complicated, since she changed her age, but I find it convincing that Maria Landgren went back to Sweden for a visit and returned to the US together with her sister Kristina.
Thank you so much, Eva! That's a great help

Most of the church archive was destroyed in a fire in 1904, but extracts have been made for statistical reasons to Statistics Sweden (SCB). It is available from SCBs archive but is a bit tricky to find, organized by year and county. It is found as
Statistiska Centralbyrån (SCB) - samlingspost, Utdrag ur födelse-, vigsel- och dödböcker 1860-1949, SE/RA/420401/01/H 1 AA/368 (1870)
and there is no Gustaf Alfred there born in Ockelbo on that date. Here is a link to the page in the book where he ought to have been (Ugglebo = Ockelbo):
https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0035867_00054

At ArkivDigital they have conveniently photographed copies of these extracts made for Ockelbo as CC:1 to 4.

I looked for a birth a bit earlier that year, and also for a birth exactly one year off in either direction, with no luck.

Thank you for checking, Per- I really appreciate it.

Out of curiosity, if you (or anyone else with AD) have the opportunity, I'm curious if their indexes give any info about a Katherine (I'm assuming Katerina/Kajsa, or some other variant) Anderson/Andersdotter who died somewhere in Örebro County on 19 Apr 1920? I ask because some other trees list that date on a profile for Gustaf's mother, but w/o a specific source or parish. I'm hoping it might lead to something, but w/o a source, who knows.

That would be easy to check for somebody with access to Sveriges Dödbok. (Which I can only use if I startup my old computer).
