Do you like sharing WikiTree love? Join the Ambassadors Project! (Jan 2023) [closed]

Question

Hi WikiTreers!

We're on a mission to increase WikiTree's presence on the internet and in person!  (See an explanation of why in Chris' post here.)

WikiTree pledged to stay 100% free, so we need to keep costs low. Since we don't have a big ad budget, our community depends on word of mouth. We grow when our members tell other genealogists, their families, and friends what we do.

Ambassadors are some of our awesome volunteers who are active on various forums, social media channels, and/or bloggers who are dedicated to helping share the WikiTree love.

If you signed the Honor Code, are active in forums, social media, or blogging, and have been a WikiTree member for at least one month, post an "answer" below and we'll get you started in the project!

I would like to join this project. I am interested in teaching others to use Wikitree. By teaching, I literally mean presenting and teaching to genealogy groups, at my local library, etc.

I'd love to join the Ambassadors Project! I signed the honor code nearly two years ago but just recently started getting more involved, I'm active in online forums and social media and have a blog. I can bring my experience in link building to promote WikiTree. Looking forward to contributing more!

I would LOVE to be a part of this Project!  I am forever sharing the love of WikiTree.  I think I have shared how wonderful WikiTree if on just about every social media outlet there is and even have links to it in my own personal social media pages!  Let's share WikiTree and keep it FREE! :)

Hi Azure, I'd love to be a member of the Ambassadors. I share WikiTree on Facebook and elsewhere. This past year, we visited and delivered the following to the Mound Bayou Museum: information about the OPS, printed posters of the genealogy of their founders, and flyers about WikiTree and the US Black Heritage Project. It's been great fun!
