On 22 Oct 2022 Gloria Lee (Buckles) Reid wrote on Brooks-822: The father of Mary Brooks Buckles was NOT David Brooks. She was the daughter of John and Mary Brooks of Berkeley County, VA. The David Brooks shown on this profile lived and died in Connecticut. I have posted images of the handwritten family record of Alvin Buckles in which he states that John Brooks was Mary's father. This should be corrected. As the new manager of Mary's profile, I will do so.
