How do we enter Geneanet Community Trees Index to a profile/source?

Why can't I "paste" a copied explanation here?  See Research Note for Allen-9660.  I don't consider Geneanet Community Trees Index as a "source" ... I feel any tree item is only a hint or an assumption if there is no source (Geneanet does not provide the source) ... so I feel it is more a research finding but not a source and put the comment under ==Research Notes==      Is that the way to handle?  In this case there does not appear to be a birth/death record on this neonate ... the Geneanet is the only thing found.

First (I read the questions you posed on the profile), there is a template for a child who died young:

{{Died Young}} Just place that under the == Biography == header.

== Biography ==

{{Died Young}}

Second, you can discuss the Geneanet tree, but you are correct in that it is not a source, just like and Ancestry tree or FamilySearch's IGI is not a source. Under the == Sources == heading you can put a See also: section:

== Sources ==

<references />
