I am looking for the parents of Phoebe, wife of George Lewis, Jr. (d. bef. Sept. 1811) of Greenbrier County, W. Va. Were they actually John Walton and Anne Lewis? According to the Wiki Tree chart, John Walton's immigrant ancestor, Lt. Thomas Walton, Sr. (d. bef. 12 Dec. 1689) of Staten Island, New York City, N. Y., married Mary Lawrence (Mrs. Mary (Lawrence) (Walton) White) (abt. 1650-abt. 1732) of Queens County, N. Y. That would mean royal ancestry through Mary's father. Capt. Thomas Lawrence II (1620-bef. 25 Feb. 1703). However, I must admit that I am skeptical about this connection, as Thomas Walton, Jr. d. s. p.
