Advice before adding of this pre-1700 Washington profile?

Question

I can add a child to the profile of Augustine Washington. This is who I can add: George Washington (1732-1799)

These are the sources I am using: Augustine Washington is father of George Washington

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

The profile you reference for Augustine is a different man from the father of President George Washington.  This is the profile for the President: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-11

I see a profile has now been created for George Washington, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-3743, son of Augustine Washington, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-3742  The birth and death dates are the same as for the US President, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-11, and his father Augustine, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-222. 

There appears to be no reliable source for the parents currently shown for Augustine Washington https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-3742. The grandparents of the President are different and are well-established.

It looks as if we have duplicate profiles for the President and his father, and that the wrong parents have been attached to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Washington-3742
