Very interesting article regarding the family of George Washington and how DNA was used to assist in the identification of several of his family members.

Interesting article as Washington had no children. Thank you for posting yes

Edit: See Wikitree profile George Washington (1732 - 1799)

Quite true; he had no children. But apparently his brothers did.

Very good article I remember reading about this in the news. I would add some tags like Washington and atttach the g2g to Washington-11

I believe his brother did have many children?

I often wonder if Washington had children or some that died at birth? A relationship possibly that nobody knew about? Of course that is speculation with nothing to show this yet

I know that I have a connection and descendent through his mother's sister who was one of my great grandmothers, so there are also ways like that a connection can be found as well.

Been trying to post this everywhere as it is really interesting but ai can copy and paste because I use a cell phone and for whatever reason this is thenonly site that doesn't allow cell phones to copy and paste material - thanks for sharing and if it isn't the one naming the actual groups I can give that data and the circles via my page private or publicly or here is someone wants to make it possible :)

  Cheers!
